Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the Spanish Teacher facilitates student success and growth in academic, linguistic, and interpersonal skills through the implementation of an approved curriculum and engaging Spanish language instruction. The teacher develops students’ proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing Spanish while integrating cultural studies that foster appreciation and understanding of Spanish-speaking countries and communities.

 

The teacher creates a flexible, safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learning needs and promotes student achievement. Through the use of varied instructional strategies, assessments, and technology tools, the teacher monitors and documents student progress, activities, and outcomes, addresses individual educational needs, and provides timely feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding progress, expectations, and goals.

 

In collaboration with colleagues, the teacher contributes to school improvement efforts, participates in ongoing professional learning, and positively supports the broader school community. This position plays a vital role in preparing students to become effective communicators, culturally aware citizens, and lifelong learners.
