Job Summary:

In addition to the details outlined on the District 518 job description, Communication Arts teachers work collaboratively to develop and deliver core grade level instruction based on the MN State Standards for ELA at the 9^th, 10^th, and 11^th grade levels. Opportunities are also available to teach additional language arts topics and literacy skills through existing and new elective courses. Communication Art teachers frequently work within the department and on the grade level band to monitor student achievement and adjust curriculum and instruction through PLC. In working with a diverse student population with a variety of needs, Communication Art teachers will also work in co-teaching systems to deliver instruction to all learners.
